Welcome to Central Presbyterian Church. We are a vibrant family of faith; redeemed of our sins through God’s grace, living in the strength of God’s promises as found int he Holy Scripture.
Worship
Central Presbyterian Church began on the prairie of North Central Texas in 1853. By 1918, the congregation had constructed the beautiful brick structure which stands today beneath the towering sycamore trees of North College Street and Oldham Avenue. Today, our congregation gathers as a community of faith to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ to serve our community and our world.
Love
Inspired by the grace of God, we nurture and enrich the spiritual faith of our church community and exemplify God’s transcending love in our daily lives through our worship, witness and actions so all will come to know and embrace the redeeming power of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Grow
Opportunities for growth begin each week on Sunday mornings with Sunday school for all ages followed by worship in the sanctuary. Wednesday night fellowship includes dinner, Bible study, and music ministry. Our community also gathers in small and large groups for prayer, outreach and fellowship throughout the week.
Act
Christians are called to show God’s love to others through service. Each of us possess skills and talents, which, when used together as a group, allow us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Central Presbyterian Church offers man opportunities to serve, from Second Saturday Service in the community to mission trips to Haiti and Honduras, as well as through partnerships with Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services and our various Mission Partners in the community.
