We are the Garcia Family – Lucas, Sierrah, and Judah. We have been married for 6 years and currently live in Maypearl. We enjoy being together as a family. Judah is 3 and is always looking for the next thing to explore! Parenting has brought us so much joy and we could not have been blessed with a greater gift.
Judah was born with a very rare heart condition, called a cardiac fibroma. He was diagnosed at 2 months old and we were immediately advised to expect a bitter outcome. Doctors all around the world have researched and presented Judah’s case, being that there is no medical evidence to support his continued success. He has never had a symptom. Never had a single heartbeat out of rhythm. Our God is so big and is using our sweet Judah to show His majesty and providence. We are amazed every day by the miracle that is our son.
Since June of 2017, we have also been in the process of adopting a child from Haiti. We have a long way to go, but the experience has been fulfilling in more ways than we can express. The love we feel for this precious child is overwhelming, and we can’t wait to see how that love grows. Adoption is something close to God’s heart, as He has adopted all of His children into His everlasting family. We are humbled and honored to be appointed to share the gospel in such a beautiful way.
Since 2016, we have served at Waxahachie Bible Church in various capacities. We began our ministry in the youth department and began serving Fire 56, a gathering of 5th and 6th grade students, which we now lead. Over the past year and a half, things have changed a bit and we are now involved in multiple ministries.
We lead worship for Fuse, our youth service. Lucas was recently elected to be the Director of Men’s Ministry for Waxahachie Bible Church. We have also started an Orphan Care Ministry with adoptive and foster families.
Our family is surrounded by love, support and the encouragement of family and friends. In addition, we are beyond thankful that God lead us to a church where the congregation so lovingly and biblically embraced our family. God has truly blessed us and we are thrilled to see where He takes us next.
